This is my pear tree





And this is a lovely big bunch of (hopefully) fertilised pear blossoms

This is an empty brandy bottle (you can tell where I'm going with this can't you).




And this is a lovely big bunch of (hopefully) fertilised pear blossoms trapped inside a brandy bottle.



Hey, so maybe I won't end up with a bottle of pear brandy, but sure where's the harm in trying.

  1. that will be so cool if it works. Could you try it with a pear that is just so small it will fit inside the bottle and then grow?

  2. You don't know until you try!! You should see us.... sloe gin, sloe wine.... quince brandy... & OMG the elderberry wine - it would knock you over!!! Good luck, let us know what happens x

  3. My father used to do this with both the peach and pear trees in our backyard. Once he even got a bunch of grapes.

    Of course, being Italian, the alcohol he added was grappa.
