My dad is young and strong and he'll fight this. Chemo can be harsh, (sorry not trying to be negative, more pragmatic), it is a draining invasive procedure and he'll need lots of support. But you seem to be a very close family so I am sure he'll get all the help he needs.
Wishing all of you all the best.
xxxChristals Creationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03013146324253591752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9020209409023585415.post-54554959441516119392010-08-05T20:30:57.494+01:002010-08-05T20:30:57.494+01:00Dear Leanne, I'm so sorry to hear your dad'...Dear Leanne, I'm so sorry to hear your dad's bad news. It's heartbreaking when it happens to someone so close. My mum in law recently found that she had breast cancer. She was completely devastated, as were we. She wasn't strong at all, in fact we went to pieces completely, lost loads of weight and was shaking all the time and crying. We feared the worst, but just supported her as best we could, mainly by just listening to her fears and talking through things with her. Fortunately, after her op, she suddenly found her strength. She's had an initial all clear now, and a reconstruction. She is on hormone therapy as she can't have chemo (she's had chemo before) and it's great to see her getting back to her old self and being positive again. I truly hope your dad finds his strength too and gets through everything.
